Customizable Packages, Continuous Piece of Mind
With GovDataHosting as your disaster recovery provider, getting your system back up and running is a swift and painless process, integrating engineering support and best practices amassed throughout decades of experience.
Additionally, our scalable solutions satisfy RMF for DoD, NIST, and FISMA requirements, among others, and we can customize recovery configurations to unique agency requirements.
GovDataHosting offers a number of standard Recovery Time Objective (RTO) and Recovery Point Objective (RPO) driven options to accommodate most demanding government system disaster recovery strategies.
Standard Configurations Include:

Cold Standby
Daily data backup to our alternate datacenter. Typically offered with 4-8 day RTO and 24-hour RPO. This most cost-effective option is often utilized by agencies that can sustain extended periods of downtime while their systems are being restored.

Warm Standby
Continuous periodic data replication. This option is offered with 1-2 day RTO and 8-12-hour RPO and enables complete service recovery within 24-48 hours of catastrophic event from an alternate GovDataHosting datacenter configured with the same system-specific rules – firewall rules, network configurations, server configurations, and applications.

Hot Standby
Fault tolerant, zero downtime continuous data replication. This option supports a 2-4 hour RTO with 2-4 hour RPO. Service is provided concurrently from identically-configured primary and alternate datacenter sites, while synchronous or asynchronous data replication of production data occurs in real time over an encrypted, private network. The hot standby option is often chosen by customers with high-availability system performance requirements.
